A featured exhibitor at the upcoming TechDay in New York on April 23, Wooter has transformed the entire sports experience from the way recreational leagues are digitally managed with the Wooter App to outfitting professional athletes like Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Terrell Owens with fully customized Wooter Apparel.

Long before Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Chad “Ochocino” Johnson hit the basketball court sporting colorful customized sublimation printed Wooter Apparel uniforms for their respective celebrity and charity basketball games over Super Bowl weekend in Miami, Florida, Wooter provided the easy-to-use platform to get the ball rolling.

While some companies have the ability to craft basic t-shirt designs, Wooter has taken customization to a whole new level by developing a custom sports apparel platform for a global market.

When TechDay New York 2020 gets underway on April 23 at the Javits Center in New York City, Wooter will be one of the companies featured this year as an exhibitor alongside a wide range of brands across a variety of markets and industries including RentRedi, Whysper, XR Health, and UberDoc among others. Entering its 9th annual event, TechDay returns to New York after showcasing over 300 exhibiting tech startups last year with thousands of eager attendees checking out the latest tech news going on in NYC. For TechDay the goal has always been about being the largest single-day tech startup conference in the world while remaining passionate about championing tech startups and creating an atmosphere to get bigger and better.

Wooter has mastered that crossover game over the past six years by fusing tech and sports with the focus on offering a more customized overall experience across all athletics.

Regardless if its a recreational basketball league in New York (East Harlem Hoops), a professional summer hoops league in Baltimore (Brunson League), a college football team in California that has become synonymous with claiming championships (Reedley College), or taking an active approach to donations and sponsorships by teaming-up with the NFL Alumni and the likes of former NBA guard, Smush Parker, Wooter remains committed to leaving their mark across all sports.

From designing and creating unique sublimation printed uniforms to digitally managing how teams, leagues, and tournaments are run, Wooter’s “self service platform” and the Wooter Sports Platform has easily defined how sports technology has changed the way teams and athletes can shape their own brand and story.

What started as a custom made small order of jerseys for a local basketball team in East Africa three years ago has blossomed into Wooter Africa, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and basketball program with outreach in local communities in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

Since launching in 2014, Wooter has emerged from a small start-up company rooted in Staten Island, New York to developing a strong national and international following complete with outfitting sports teams and leagues globally for over 25 countries including Japan, Tanzania, Antigua, Grenada, Malta, the Netherlands and Australia, among others. That story has truly come to life in Zanzibar, Tanzania over the past three years. What went from Wooter receiving a request to produce a handful of basketball jerseys has now developed into Wooter Africa, a 501(c)(3) basketball league and program that features over 32 youth, men, and women’s teams sporting colorful jerseys and uniforms honoring the heritage of East Africa. The result has not only yielded a professional look and feel for teams and players, but has helped unite a community in Africa through sports and the opportunity to “give back”.

Just as TechDay has become known for bringing together online tech communities for a real life event in New York, Los Angeles, and London, Wooter and Wooter Apparel have risen as a company and brand by providing a professional and personal experience through sports and tech.
