Wooter CEO Alex Aleksandrovski and COO, David Kleyman were recently featured on BOLD TV with Bold Business hosts David Grasso and Lyndsay Christian, as the Co-Founders of Wooter talked about the growth of Wooter Apparel, the Wooter App, and leaving their mark in the sports industry.

Over the past four years, Wooter has grown from a recreational sports tech start-up for local players, teams, and leagues to emerging as the go-to customized sports apparel brand outfitting youth sports teams, AAU squads, collegiate athletics, semi-pro and professional organizations, and companies coming together to host celebrity games and charity events.

It’s been a time that’s seen Wooter launch in Staten Island, New York to receiving orders for customized sports jerseys and uniforms from around the world for Wooter Apparel (the brand has created and produced jerseys for over 25 countries, including Japan, Tanzania, Antigua, Grenada, Malta, the Netherlands and Australia, among others).

So how did Wooter go from equipping local rec basketball teams to create their own “Wooter league”, to actually creating designs and producing unique jerseys, uniforms, and apparel for the likes of Master P, Kawhi Leonard, Jeff and Marquis Teague, to signing their first professional athlete to the company — pro basketball player, Aquille Carr.

On a recent episode of Bold Business featured on BOLD TV, Wooter CEO Alex Aleksandrovski and COO, David Kleyman joined hosts David Grasso and Lyndsay Christian, to share their story about the growth of Wooter, Wooter Apparel, the Wooter App, and how the company has strived to make their mark in the ever-changing sports industry.

“We have bridged the gap between the every day Joe and the guys playing in the pros. If you are in a Wooter league, you’re not only going to be able to have beautiful custom made jerseys but you’re also going to have stats, player profiles, and team pages and be able to communicate with other players in the league,” said Wooter CEO Alex Aleksandrovski, about the Wooter App and Wooter Apparel.

“One of our biggest selling points is how quick we are able to design and produce apparel — from the quality of the gear, it gives us a chance to save the people we work with money with a turn around of about 3 weeks,” added Wooter COO, David Kleyman.

“For us, it started with the App. Once we started working with leagues and then organizations, they were in need. They were over-spending on apparel and we wanted to help cut their costs with a quick turnaround. It really started with one league.”
