XFC And Wooter Apparel Deliver Knock-Out Blow For MMA At Young Guns 4

Donning customized sweatpants from Wooter Apparel, MMA veteran Kenny Cross looked most impressive in his unanimous decision victory over Jose Martinez after returning to the ring at XFC’s Young Guns 4 for the first time in a year.

Even before XFC’s Young Guns 4 took place on Friday night at the DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, there was a palpable buzz surrounding the fight card for MMA’s only publicly-traded organization.

This wasn’t only a chance to see Wooter Apparel’s custom made collaboration with XFC debut at the official weigh-ins, but was also the opportunity to see some of the fight games young bright prospects shine on the big stage at DeltaPlex Arena.  Fighters were outfitted in white and red tapered leg sweatpants and full zip track jacket that were customized with the XFC logo.

All in all, Wooter Apparel teaming up with XFC provided fighters with a tough look and feel to an unforgettable night of MMA

Headlined by veteran Kenny Cross (who starred in Dana White’s Contender Series) in the lightweight bout versus Jose Martinez, “The Boss” earned a unanimous decision victory over Martinez after returning to the ring for the first time in a year after suffering an injury.  It was the perfect way to kick-off a full night of action that was followed by the co-main event on the main card, Austin Bashi versus Darnell White in a bantamweight contest. Impressively, Bashi made quick work of White with a Round 1 TKO. The win from Bashi set the tone for the rest of the card, with the following three fight also finishing in the first round: Mando Gutierrez defeated Chaka Worthy via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke), Dennis Hughes Jr. beat Jorden McDonald with a Submission (Armbar), and Mike Taylor stood victorious over Moe Williams after his Submission (Rear-Naked Choke).

The Amateur Preliminary card also did not disappoint. Adam Kehr defeated Michael Johnson (Submission – Guillotine Choke) Round 1, Hunter Oberst used a rear-naked choke to submit Joel Harkey in Round 1, Brendan Duneghy bested Ousman Sarr with a head kick and KO in 23 seconds of Round 1, and Abe Saghir finished off Isaiah Podbregar via TKO.

Hats off to all of the fighters for putting in work at Young Guns 4 and for wearing Wooter Apparel with pride on fight night.

With Austin Bashi now moving to 5-0 in his rising career, he sets both himself and the XFC up for big things in 2022. The fight in Grand Rapids was expected to be its last in the market as the XFC moves to larger venues, including FTX Arena in Miami, where the XFC has moved its corporate headquarters.
