The 2017 college football season is almost here which means we all get to see the new uniforms teams design to look great on the field. Before that, let’s take a look back at the best uniforms from the 2016 college football season.
10. Michigan Wolverines Uniforms
Still rocking the yellow maize and blue jerseys but the only difference was that the Jordan brand joined the college ranks as the jersey provider for Michigan football uniforms.
9. Rutgers Scarlet Knights Uniforms
Rutgers provided us with the “Dark Knight” uniforms this season, unfortunately they wore these as they got blown out 78-0 to the Michigan Wolverines
8. Kansas Jayhawks Uniforms
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK! Kansas is known for their basketball programs dominance but their football program came up with these uniforms this season. The “Limestone” uniforms were used during their 2016 Homecoming.
7. Notre Dame Fighting Irish Uniforms
Notre Dame displayed these uniforms at their 2016 Shamrock series matchup against Army. ND went with the olive green rather than the blue and it gives it more of an Irish feel.
6. Miami Hurricanes Uniforms
The Miami Hurricanes paid homage to the “Legends of the U” with these throwback uniforms that bring us fans back to the legendary 80s teams.
5. Air Force Falcons Uniforms
Probably the coolest helmet design I have ever seen. Air Force wore these uniforms during the 2016 Arizona Bowl.
4. Maryland Terrapins Uniforms
Maryland broke out the sleek “Red Ops” uniforms this season bringing in the trend of single color uniforms to their arsenal.
3. BYU Cougars Uniforms
BYU has always worn blue and white slowly changing the tint of the blue. They brought back the light blue and white uniforms similar to the Ty Detmer days.
2. Pittsburgh Panthers Uniforms
Pitt brought these throwback uniforms out for their 2016 Homecoming. The color combo changed drastically and I personally believe they should keep these as their primary uniforms.
1. Oregon Ducks Uniforms
“Once a Duck, Always a Duck” was the motto for these uniforms. They replicated these uniforms after their mascot The Oregon Duck. By far the most creative uniform concept.
