Just days into 2020 and Wooter is breaking new ground once again by partnering with GameBreaker, the company making a revolutionary product that has changed the helmet industry.
Based outside of Los Angeles, California in Westlake Village, GameBreaker explored ways to prevent head injuries from occurring in football, rugby, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, and other contact sports by creating soft shell headgear to help protect athletes from sustaining head and brain injuries in youth, college, and professional sports with the rise of concussions.
Now Wooter and GameBreaker have come together to provide athletes, coaches, and teams the chance to purchase GameBreaker headgear and products through Wooter Apparel by providing customized logos or team names on select items.
“We are excited to be selling GameBreaker headgear and have GameBreaker offer Wooter Apparel to their valued customers across all sports via our new Wooter Apparel platform,” said Wooter CEO, Alex Aleksandrovski.
“GameBreaker not only goes hand-in-hand with our approach to customization and creative sports apparel, but they have also become the leader in their industry by furthering the topic of how athletes can really protect themselves in those contact sports.”
Developed and patented in 2001 by Mike Juels, GameBreaker became available on the market in 2011 and the company has since pioneered ways to further protect players on the field with their scientific approach to soft shell headgear over the past nine years.
Over the last three years, GameBreaker has become the official headgear partner with the United States Flag and Touch Football League, My 7vs7 Flag Football League, Canada Football, and Army Football, among a number of other youth, high school, and college programs.
Along with carrying GameBreaker-Pro soft shell headgear, Wooter also carries a wide-variety of GameBreaker products including GameBreaker-Aura soccer headbands, All-purpose helmet inserts and under shield practice pads.
GameBreaker recently received a five-star rating from Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings after group of researchers who provided helmet ratings that allow consumers to make educated and informed decisions when purchasing helmets and other GameBreaker products. GameBreaker’s D30 technology is an ultra lightweight material that provides athletes with the most protection when faced with impact to the head. Through their exclusive worldwide partnership with D30 technology, GameBreaker is able to “provide market-leading comfortable, lightweight impact protection against accidental collisions and falls, reducing the risk of head injuries as the D30 technology absorbs and dissipates the energy from impacts, reducing the amount of force that gets transmitted to your body compared to standard foams”.
“It really is a unique dynamic – soft, flexible material,” said GameBreaker vice president of operations, Kyle Eversgerd.
“We spent years making it cosmetically and esthetically pleasing. Safety and looking good didn’t always match; we give up to 10 different colors and two custom logo locations. We are a unique product.”
