Baseball is officially back thanks to the Collegiate Summer Baseball Invitational and Wooter Apparel.
With less than two weeks until the opening game of the College Summer Baseball Invitational (CSBI) in Bryan-College Station Texas, we are proud to share the news that Wooter Apparel has been selected to customize the uniforms for this unprecedented event in light of the Coronavirus pandemic taking place from June 4-6 at Travis Field, home of the Brazos Valley Bombers (Texas Collegiate League).
“I’m excited to have Wooter Apparel partner with the Collegiate Summer Baseball Invitation. This is a tremendous opportunity to have sports back in the spotlight and provide the stage for these talented college players to showcase their abilities, while sporting our customized uniforms inspired by America’s Red, White, and Blue,” said Alex Kagan, Wooter Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer.
Presented as “the biggest College Baseball event of 2020”, the Collegiate Summer Baseball Invitational will feature 100 college baseball players and major league prospects from SEC, Pac-12, Big 12, Big 10, and ACC schools who will converge on a 3-day tournament with 6 games and players coached by former big-league players one week prior to the MLB Draft. Fans can watch the event on their smart TV via Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, Roku and Google’s Chromecast or via their mobile devices. The College Summer Baseball Invitation will also be an outreach event by supporting and awareness for non-profit organization, “No Kid Hungry” (5% of each subscription will be donated to the organization), while helping all of America get some normalcy in their post COVID-19 world.
“If we are going to be the Biggest College Baseball Event of 2020, we better have amazing looking uniforms. We knew Wooter Apparel would take care of us, they have become one of the best in the sports apparel industry,” said Uri Geva, Infinity Sports & Entertainment CEO and the driving force behind CSBI.
“We are working hard to provide a wonderful experience for all of the players and felt that fully custom designed uniforms from Wooter Apparel would help take the CSBI brand to a new level”.
For Geva, safety is the key focus leading up to and during the CSBI.
All players, coaches, event staff, and drivers will be tested for the Coronavirus prior to arrival and will be quarantined at one hotel for the duration of the event. All events will be closed off to fans, and the ballpark will be secured by local law enforcement to ensure the quarantined individuals remain protected from the outside world. Players are selected through a screening processes between the CSBI Baseball Operations staff, coaches and their respective college coaches. Geva and the CSBI continues to communicate and work with local government and health care officials in Texas to ensure all CDC, National, State and local regulations are adhered to ensure the safety of everyone involved with the event.
